The Ha Noi capital is the heart of the country, the national political and administrative center, and also a heritage city with a rich and diverse cultural heritage fund, which are historical relics, spiritual architectural works, monuments and especially the old quarter and old streets.
The Ha Noi capital leads the country with nearly 6,000 cultural and historical relics, including special national relics and world cultural heritages. However, of the 1,617 degraded relics, up to 30% of the relics need restoration but do not have the resources. In addition, Ha Noi also has the largest number of craft villages in the country with over 1,350 craft villages and villages with crafts. However, up to now, there are only more than 800 craft villages left, which means a decrease of about 40%. In the process of urbanization, many craft villages have gradually disappeared, along with the number of people doing the craft has also decreased.
