On the afternoon of July 15, 2024, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) coordinated with the Department of Business Registration Management (Ministry of Planning and Investment) to organize the Workshop on “Comments on the Draft Decree on business registration” to create a forum for discussion and exchange of opinions between businesses and the drafting agency on the Draft Decree on business registration.

Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen, Partner of NHQuang&Associates, was invited to attend and present a paper at the workshop. Sharing at the workshop, Mrs. Huyen said that currently, businesses still face difficulties when registering their business lines with procedures that are not clearly regulated in terms of procedures and documents, leading to different views on application by local business registration agencies, causing confusion for businesses and business registration agencies when implementing. Meanwhile, some regulations overlap, causing a waste of time and resources for businesses.

At the workshop, most comments shared the view that the new Draft Decree on business registration needs to be more specific and clearer, making it easier for businesses and business registration agencies to implement. At the same time, the Draft Decree also needs to synchronize regulations guiding business registration from procedures, implementation forms to the mechanism for connecting agencies when implementing procedures related to business registration to ensure consistency and simplify administrative procedures. In addition to comments from experts, the workshop also obtained comments from agencies and units related to business registration in localities on the difficulties and obstacles of the policy in practical application, and directions and solutions to perfect the policy in the coming time.
