Seminar on “U.S. Trade Policy and Tariffs”
On the afternoon of March 31, 2026, in Ha Noi, the Vietnam Business Lawyers Club (VBLC) successfully hosted a seminar on “U.S. Trade Policy and Tariffs”, attracting the participation of numerous lawyers, experts, and representatives from import-export enterprises. Bringing together distinguished speakers in the fields of consulting and international law, the event provided in-depth and up-to-date analyses of U.S. tariff policies, particularly measures under Sections 301 and 232, as well as increasing risks related to anti-circumvention investigations and compliance requirements imposed by U.S. Customs authorities.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen, Partner of NHQuang&Associates and Member of the VBLC Executive Committee, emphasized the urgent need to stay updated on changes in U.S. tariff policies, at the same time enhancing advisory capabilities and risk forecasting for international trade lawyers. She also played a key role in moderating the seminar, delivering closing remarks and actively engaging with speakers through questions and discussions, thereby helping to guide the dialogue and clarify practical issues.
The seminar offered a comprehensive overview of U.S. trade policy and underscored the importance of strengthening risk management capabilities, establishing internal compliance systems, and proactively responding to challenges in an increasingly dynamic global legal environment.
