The enactment of the Law on Personal Data Protection 2025 and its implementing regulations marks a significant milestone in refining Viet Nam’s legal framework for personal data protection. Regarding employment relationships, these new regulations not only impose stricter requirements on the collection, processing, and management of employee data but also necessitate a shift in how enterprises approach human resources management – ranging from ensuring transparency and accountability to strengthening risk management and legal compliance measures.
