The Vietnam Mediation Moot (V-MED) 2026
The Vietnam Mediation Moot (V-MED) 2026 has concluded successfully, drawing the participation of over 820 contestants from 37 universities and academies across the country. The final round brought together 20 teams to tackle mediation scenarios modeled on real-world commercial disputes. The competition was jointly organized by the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC), the Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC), and the University of Economics and Finance – Ho Chi Minh City (UEF).
Supporting V-MED 2026, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang – Founding and Managing Partner of NHQuang&Associates and Chairman of VICMC, and Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen – Partner of NHQuang&Associates and a VICMC Mediator – served on the competition’s panel of judges.
Leveraging their expertise in legal practice and commercial mediation, the lawyers from NHQuang supported contestants in a forum that emphasizes the application of legal knowledge, information gathering, active listening, negotiation, and the pursuit of suitable solutions for disputing parties. These are the very skills that Mr. Quang, in his capacity as VICMC Chairman, highlighted during the opening ceremony – competencies that are essential not only for mediators but also for future lawyers and business leaders.
For NHQuang&Associates, V-MED represents a key initiative demonstrating the connection between legal practice and legal education. We are proud to have served as the Companion Sponsor (the highest sponsorship tier) for V-MED across five seasons, dating back to its inception in 2022, and to have fielded lawyers serving as commercial mediators to join the panel of judges throughout these competitions.
For years, we have sponsored, organized, and provided professional support for as well as appointed lawyers to serve as judges and advisors for moot court competitions for law students in Viet Nam. Through these initiatives, we aim to continue promoting moot court competitions, contributing to the innovation of legal education and learning methods, while creating opportunities for law students to develop their knowledge, skills, and career paths.
