Workshop on Mediation in France, Europe and in Vietnam

On July 11, 2023, the Workshop “Mediation in France, Europe and in Vietnam; the role of lawyers in mediation” was co-organized by Association pour la Coopération Juridique Europe Vietnam, Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center and Foreign Trade University. Attending the Workshop were lawyers from the Paris Bar Association, lawyers and mediators of Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center.

At the Workshop, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Managing Partner of NHQuang&Associates cum President of Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center, presented and discussed about mediation and various types of mediation in Vietnam, including (i) Mediation methods in Vietnam, (ii) Vietnamese laws that regulate dispute resolution by mediation, and (iii) Development trend of mediation in Vietnam. Mr. Quang also answered questions and participated in discussions on environmental mediation issues, methods and mindset about mediation in Vietnam, issues of mediation through the assistance of information technology.

The seminar was gathered many opinions and information exchange from mediators and lawyers from France, Italy and Canada. The seminar also welcomed the Lawyer Dao Ngoc Chuyen-Chairman of Hanoi Bar Association, Lawyer Tran Minh Tri-Chairman of the Can Tho Bar Association and mediators, lawyers from Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC), Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC), lecturers and students of Foreign Trade University and other universities.
