Consultation Workshop of the Report on assessing legal regulations on the state of emergency in the context of pandemic, and developing recommendations on the improvement of the laws on state of emergency to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic
On December 23, 2021, the Ministry of Justice and UNDP Viet Nam co-organized the Consultation Workshop of the Report on assessing legal regulations on the state of emergency in the context of pandemic, and developing recommendations on the improvement of the laws on state of emergency to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic. The workshop was chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh – Deputy Director, Department of Criminal and Administrative Legislation, Ministry of Justice and Ms. Dao Thi Thu An – EU JULE Project Manager, UNDP.
As the Team Leader of the study, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Managing Partner of NHQuang&Associates, has presented main analyses in the Report, including assessment of the legal system of Viet Nam as well as international experiences on regulation on state of emergency in the context of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, thereby making a number of recommendations for completion of the laws on state of emergency. The workshop attracted the participation of many experts, including Mr. Dinh Duy Hoa – Former Director, Department of Administrative Reforms, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Tho – Deputy Director, Department of Legal Affairs, Government Office, Ms. Hoang Thi Ngan – Former Director, Department of State Administrative Organization and Public Affairs, Government Office, and representatives of relevant agencies and departments.
