On 23/07/2020, UNDP Vietnam, in coordination with the Supreme People’s Court, British Embassy in Hanoi, and the Project to promote fair business environment in ASEAN co-held the Consultation workshop on the Draft Report “Good Practices in Court Procedures to Improve Court Integrity”.

At the Workshop, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, NHQuang&Associates’ Managing Partner, acted on behalf of the Research Team to present the report ′′Good Practices in Court Procedures to Improve Court Integrity”. This report has been conducted by NHQuang&Associates since 2018. The report focuses on introducing the legal framework and good practices in 04 (four) judicial administrative procedures groups, including:

1. Procedures to receive petition, accept case handling (including court-annexed mediation)
2. Judge assignment in the Court
3. Management of the time for case settlement; and
4. Grant of extracts, delivery of judgments and judgments publication

Commenting the Report, the workshop participants opined that the Report has relatively shown a panoramic picture of the court’s settlement of judicial administrative procedures. At the same time, they also offered some feedback, recommendations to complete the report content. The report will be completed and become a valuable reference for Courts at various levels during the reform of judicial administrative procedures, strengthening integrity of the Court system.
