Seminar “Credit Risk Sharing and Mitigation Mechanisms”
On October 13, 2026, the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), organized the seminar “Credit Risk Sharing and Mitigation Mechanisms”. The event introduced two mechanisms, namely risk-sharing facilities (RSF) and partial credit guarantees (PCG), and examined relevant international good practices and the Vietnamese legal framework. The seminar aimed to identify solutions to expand access to capital, boost credit activities in priority sectors, and mobilize additional private sector resources.

At the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Founder and Managing Partner of NHQuang&Associates and an IFC expert, presented a paper titled “Viet Nam’s Legal Framework Regarding Risk-Sharing Facilities (RSF) and Partial Credit Guarantees (PCG)”. His presentation focused on the Vietnamese legal framework related to RSF and PCG, analyzing and comparing these two mechanisms with similar legal institutions in Viet Nam. Mr. Quang also offered recommendations from a legal perspective to enable the application of these two mechanisms in Viet Nam.
