Workshop: Preventing and Minimizing International Investor Grievances and Disputes
On June 22, 2018, Workshop on Preventing and Minimizing International Investor Grievances and Disputes was jointly organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Justice in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the Workshop, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Managing Partner of NHQuang&Associates, Consultant of International Finance Corporation (IFC), made a speech about “International experience in preventing and minimizing complaints and disputes – Systematic responding mechanism for investors”.
In his presentation, Mr. Quang raised some problems of investors and State agencies along with measures for resolution. To prevent disputes with investors, “Viet Nam should consider establishing a Systematic responding mechanism for investors (SIRM) across the entire economy”, said Mr. Quang.
The Workshop also received comments from representatives of other organizations and experts’ opinions relative to international investment disputes between foreign investors and Vietnamese government – current situation and solution.
