The Elgar Encyclopedia of Asian Law is a comprehensive reference work on the legal systems of countries and territories across East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The encyclopedia is edited by the Asian Law Centre under Melbourne Law School and published by Edward Elgar Publishing. More than 400 entries in the encyclopedia are contributed by over 300 contributing authors who are experienced scholars and legal experts from around the world. In addition to covering foundational areas of law such as civil, criminal, commercial, and constitutional law, the encyclopedia also addresses a wide range of specialized legal fields, including finance, insolvency, health, human rights, and personal data protection.
Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Managing Partner of NHQuang&Associates, is honored to be among the contributors selected to participate in the development of The Elgar Encyclopedia of Asian Law with the chapter “Vietnam: Privacy Law & Personal Data Protection”. The chapter introduces the legal framework on privacy and personal data protection within the Vietnamese legal system, including an overview of relevant regulations, key features, and current legal issues in this area.
The Elgar Encyclopedia of Asian Law is expected to become a valuable reference source for researchers, lecturers, legal practitioners, and students interested in Asian legal studies.
