Sustainable fishery development conference

“National Consultancy Conference: regulations on co-management in protection of fishery resources and regulation on management of sea preservation area in Viet Nam” co-organized by Directorate of Fisheries and NHQuang-FITEs  association in Ha Noi on November 22, 2017.

The conference was held for commenting the draft decree adopted on November 21, 2017. At the conference, as the team leader, Mr. Nguyen Tien Lap, senior partner of NHQuang&Associates reported the results of studying for constructing the policy to transfer the right to use, manage, and exploit sea areas to fishermen for sustainable fishery development (CS.46-RDEPEP/PCU). He also raised the team’s comments and recommendations for the Decree guiding co-management and empowerment of fishery resource management to the local community.
