Discussion about the Assessment on situation of legal services for People living with HIV and Key population in Vietnam

On 24 August 2012, the consultation workshop on the "Assessment on the current situation of legal services for people living with HIV and key populations in Vietnam" held by NHQuang&Associates, the Team leader of the Project in cooperation with UNAIDS-UNDP took place at Cau Giay Hotel - No. 110 Cau Giay Street, Cau Giay District, Ha Noi in order to get comments from all attendants being officers from the donor, relevant state management bodies in areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and control, representatives of self-help groups of PLHIV and key populations. Mr. Nguyen Tien Lap, the senior partner, acting as the representative of NHQuang&Associates, the host, presented the Draft Report of the Project. The Project report received several consents and also valuable comments for its finalisation.

Consultative Meeting for commenting the Manual for Procedures of Complaint and Settlement against Legal consultancy quality of Legal Consulting Centers at Central Area (Da Nang)

After the first meeting in the north in May and the second one in the south in June, the other meeting was finally organised in Da Nang, the central area. At the meeting, "Quality management at legal consulting centers and law practising organisations", "The Role of building the Procedures of Complaint against legal consultancy quality at Legal consulting centers" and "the Draft Manual for Procedures of Complaint and Settlement against Legal consultancy quality of Legal Consulting Centers" was also presented by Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang to legal consulting centers in central provinces. This is an activity within the cooperation framework between JUDGE Project (Justice Development Project and grass-root participation) and the Ministry of Justice

Further to the meeting in the north in June, at this Southern meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang also presented about "Quality management at legal consulting centers and law practising organisations", "The Role of building the Procedures of Complaint against legal consultancy quality at Legal consulting centers" and "the Draft Manual for Procedures of Complaint and Settlement against Legal consultancy quality of Legal Consulting Centers" to legal consulting centers in southern provinces. This activity was conducted within the cooperation framework between JUDGE Project (Justice Development Project and grass-root participation) and the Ministry of Justice.

Northern Meeting for commenting the Manual for Procedures of Complaint and Settlement against Legal consultancy quality of Legal Consulting Centers.

On 28/5/2012 held the Northern Meeting for commenting the Manual for Procedures of Complaint and Settlement against Legal consultancy quality of Legal Consulting Centers. Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Lawyer, participated the meeting and made a speech on "Quality management at legal consulting centers and law practising organisations", "The Role of building the Procedures of Complaint against legal consultancy quality at Legal consulting centers" and "the Draft Manual for Procedures of Complaint and Settlement against Legal consultancy quality of Legal Consulting Centers" to legal consulting centers in northern provinces. Regional Meeting of the Transparency International

The Regional Meeting of the Transparency International was held in Seoul in May 2012, and Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Lawyer, was invited to be one participant of the meeting.

Consultative Seminar for Assessing Legal Demand as the basis for construction of a circular on functional area division of reserve areas, border determination, and a buffer zone in reservation area systems in Vietnam

On 28/02/2012, The Department of Nature Reservation – Ministry of Rural and Agriculture Development, and the Project “Bio-diversity protection in forestry eco-systems in Vietnam” held the Consultative Seminar for “Assessing Legal Demand as the basis for construction of a circular on functional area division of reserve areas, border determination, and a buffer zone in reservation area systems in Vietnam". Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Lawyer, a member of the Research Team, presented the study together with other team members at the Seminar.

Seminar "Towards a favourable environment for participation of social organisations in national reaction for HIV/AIDS in Vietnam" - Southern area

On 19-20/12/2011, VUSTA - The Global Fund Project for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Fight held in Vung Tau the Seminar  "Towards a favourable environment for participation of social organisations in national reaction for HIV/AIDS in Vietnam" - Southern area. Representing NHQuang&Associates, Mr. Nguyen Tien Lap participated the seminar and presented a speech on "Legal frame and procedure for registration of operations of social organisations"

Seminar "Reporting results of the survey of needs and guidelines for legitimate registration for Community Based Organisations"

On 06-07/12/2011, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) - the Global Fund Project for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Fight organised the seminar of "Reporting results of the survey of needs and guidelines for legitimate registration for community based organisations". Participating the Seminar, Mr. Nguyen Tien Lap gave the speech of "Legal entity registration for community based organisations for supporting HIV prevention and fight".

Workshop "Citizen's perrception on local judicial work"

In the morning of 16/12/2011, the Workshop "Citizen's perrception on local judicial work" was held by UNDPand Vietnam Lawyers Association. Mr. Nguyen Hung Quang presented the method and results of collecting citizens' perception about judicial work at localities through evaluation method with indices. This result was collected from a pilotted survey in three provinces including Phu Tho, Hue, and Vinh Long in 2010.
