Legal Newsletter No. 02/2022

After more than 1 year of issuance and implementation, Decree 153/2020/ND-CP on offer and trading of privately-placed corporate bonds in domestic market and offer of corporate bonds to international market (Decree 153) has revealed certain inadequacies in the context of overheating of the corporate bond market in Viet Nam, with the appearance of unlawful capital mobilization from bond issuance. As a result, the Ministry of Finance is drafting a Draft Decree for amending and supplementing Decree 153 to respond to the current developments of the market.

Some new provisions on offer and trading of privately-placed corporate bonds in domestic market are presented by Le Gia Khanh.

Legal Newsletter No. 01/2022

After almost 11 years of implementation, several provisions of the Law on Protection of Consumers’ Rights 2010 have been no longer consistent with the reality, causing many problems and inadequacies. In order to ensure the interests of consumers in the changing economic and social context, the Draft Law on Protection of Consumers’ Rights has been drafted and is now in the process of collecting opinions.

Some notable provisions in the Draft Law on Protection of consumers’ rights (amended) are presented by Nguyen Nhu Khanh Quynh.
